Event summary
Short-lived climate pollutants are potent climate forcers that persist in the atmosphere for a fraction of the time that carbon dioxide (CO2) does, but have the ability to warm the atmosphere many times as much. Certain short-lived climatic pollutants are also deadly air pollutants, wreaking havoc on human health, ecosystems, and agricultural production.
