The Second International Conference on Artificial Intelligence: Applications, Innovation and Ethics (AI²E-2027) will be jointly organized by the UNESCO Chair on Artificial Intelligence at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), and the Oman National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, with technical sponsorship from IEEE Oman Section.

AI²E-2027 will be held from 9–11 November 2027, with specialized workshops and capacity-building activities on 9 November, followed by the main conference on 10–11 November.

The conference will support Oman’s AI priorities by promoting knowledge exchange, research collaboration, innovation, and responsible and ethical AI development. It will bring together academics, researchers, government representatives, industry professionals, policymakers, students, and international experts through keynote lectures, technical presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and specialized sessions.

The UNESCO Chair for Seismic and Tsunami Studies at SQU will organize a special session on AI for Earthquake and Tsunami Monitoring and Prediction, while IEEE Oman Section will organize a session on AI for Sustainable Energy Transition.

AI²E-2027 aims to strengthen national and international collaboration and contribute to an innovative, responsible, ethical, and sustainable AI ecosystem aligned with Oman’s national development priorities.
