PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

 

This is a key event in a series of medical education conferences held in cooperation with the Committee of Deans of Medical Colleges in the GCC. It will coincide with the meeting of the Committee of Deans, adding an extra layer of significance to the occasion. We are honored to host five distinguished speakers from the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands.

The goals of our conference are to:

  1. Provide a forum for sharing innovative ideas and educational innovations related to teaching and learning, assessment, mentoring, and wellbeing in medical education.
  2. Build and enhance participant skills in teaching, leadership, professional development, wellbeing promotion, and educational scholarship.
  3. Establish a network of medical educators committed to educational excellence and wellbeing in academic medicine.

 

The themes of the conference are:

  1. Assessment, Teaching and facilitating learning: Online/remotely versus in person, how and why.
  2. Competency-based medical education and assessment and new technology.
  3. Faculty development, new technology and artificial intelligence (teaching, assessment), how to be prepared for the future.
  4. Precision education.
  5. Simulation in medical education: Simulation-based medical teaching and learning, Patient safety and simulation-based medical education, Screen-based computer simulation, Standardized patients, High fidelity simulators

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Submission of an online registration is regarded as a firm booking and acceptance of these terms and conditions, however the booking will not be confirmed until full payment has been received. We accept only online, please note that all transfer charges must be met by the sender for online payment.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

The personal information supplied in connection with this booking will be held by SQU as a record of attendees and parties expressing interest. By registering for this conference, the parties concerned are agreeing that the conference organizers may use that personal information to contact them by email, telephone or fax, in order to supply information relevant to this conference, or about other conferences, events and opportunities that the organizers are planning and feel may be of interest to them. The organizers may also share this information with its partners and event sponsors in order for them to contact the delegates about other products and services which may be of interest to the delegates. If you do not want your details to be used in this way, please contact SQU by letter or email to confirm this.

 

CANCELLATION

1- Any delegate wishing to cancel their booking must notify SQU in writing. Cancellation charges will apply as follows: - Up to 4 weeks before the event starts: 20% of the delegate fee - Up to 3 weeks before the event starts: 50% of the delegate fee plus any bank transfer fee incurred by SQU - Less than 2 weeks before the event starts: 100% of the delegate fee - non-arrivals are liable for 100% of the delegate fee

2- In the unlikely event of the program being cancelled by the organizer, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the delegate and there will not be any additional liability to SQU, event hosts or any other individual associated with the event organization.

3- In the event that the conference cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the conference organizers (force majeure) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the conference organizers, liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the delegate and there will not be any additional liability to SQU, event hosts or any other individual associated with the event organization. Under these circumstances, the conference organizers reserve the right to refund the fees paid minus a 25% admin fee.
