Vision

The conference sheds light on the role of social welfare policies and programs in achieving sustainable development goals at the local, regional, and global levels, by reviewing the latest research, studies, and practical experiences in the field. It also includes discussing the challenges facing these social welfare policies and programs and proposing realistic solutions to enhance their effectiveness.

 

Objectives

1. Enhance collaboration among relevant executive, academic, and institutional entities in exchanging knowledge, experiences and practices (in the field of social welfare) and improve and activate policies and programs.

2. Encourage researchers from different countries to discuss key issues related to social welfare policies and programs and their role in achieving sustainable development goals.

3. Support scientific research on the development of social welfare policies and programs in the Sultanate of Oman, in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.

4. Place emphasis on international, regional, and Arab experiences in the field of social welfare policies and programs and their role in achieving sustainable development goals.

5. Promote research and academic interest in inter-disciplinary studies related to the environment and climate justice to ensure the achievement of sustainable development goals.

6. Boost a sense of responsibility and awareness regarding the importance and necessity of social work in achieving sustainable development.
