Submission

You are warmly welcome to submit your research contribution and utilize the ICESET-23 opportunity to share it with the relevant attendees regionally and internationally. Before submitting your contribution, you are kindly invited to check the following:

1. You need to decide what your preferred type of contribution is. [CHECK type of contribution]
2. After deciding the type of contribution, you should start preparing an abstract [CHECK abstract preparation guidelines]
3. Upon the completion of the abstract preparation, you should submit the abstract using the submission form before the deadline [CHECK important dates]
4. If your submitted abstract is accepted and planning to attend the conference and present and publish or publish only, you should plan to register and pay the conference fees [CHECK registration and payment] before the deadline [CHECK important dates]
5. If you are planning to publish your contribution in the conference proceedings (publication will be in the Scopus-indexed Springer ASTI series), you should prepare your extended abstract [CHECK extended abstract preparation guidelines] before the deadline [CEHCK important dates]
6. Upon the completion of the extended abstract preparation, you should submit the extended abstract using the submission form before the deadline [CHECK important dates]
7. If you are planning to attend the conference and present, you should start to prepare your oral talk presentation and/or poster presentation [CHECK oral talk presentation preparation guideline and/or poster presentation preparation guideline] before the deadline [CEHCK important dates]
8. If your contribution is selected, you will be invited to submit a full manuscript for publication in one of the Springer Journals as a Special Issue [CHECK special issue]
9. Kindly note that publication in one of the Springer Journals as a Special Issue is an option for the invited selected contribution  

• The abstract submission text file is in Microsoft Office (.doc and.docx) format using the abstract template.
• The title of the abstract uses a bold Times New Roman 14-point font while the author names and affiliations use a Times New Roman 10-point and 9-point standard font, respectively, with a 4-16 point leading (space between lines) on A4.
• The email address of the corresponding author should be in Courier 9-point font.
• Keywords in Times New Roman 9-point font.
• Rest of the text is in Times New Roman 9-point font.
• The abstract of the paper follows the structured format, includes a single paragraph (350 words), and contains information about the introduction, objectives, method, results, and conclusions.
• Write the full names of all authors and use symbols or numbers in superscripts to identify the affiliation of each author. Also, underline and mark as bold the presenter's name along with email and contact number.
• The corresponding author needs to be identified clearly.
• Four to five keywords should also be provided in the same format except the heading should be bold.
• Abstracts will only be accepted from the online submission system via the conference website. For the acceptance of abstracts, the author who will make the presentation should register for the conference.
• Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit extended abstracts [maxi. 4 pages] for publication in the conference proceedings.

• Write the full names of all authors and use symbols or numbers in superscripts to identify the affiliation of each author. Also, underline and mark as bold the presenter's name along with email and contact number.
• The corresponding author needs to be identified clearly.

• Selected extended abstracts will be invited to submit a full manuscript for publication in a special issue with Springer. 

1- Use the PowerPoint Slides Template to prepare your oral talk PowerPoint presentation and use your given abstract number [examples ICESET-23-00-00] to name your PowerPoint File before emailing it to the conference. 

2- The oral talk is for 12 min followed by 3 min questions and answers 

3- For in-person presenter, kindly upload your PowerPoint Slides to Google Drive and email the link to iceset-23@squ.edu.om no later than January 22, 2023

4- For online presenter, kindly record using PowerPoint recorder and upload your Power Point Slides to Google Drive and email the link to iceset-23@squ.edu.om no later than January 22, 2023

For in person poster

1- For in person poster, kindly prepare your poster using the poster template and print it out and bring it with you. We do not provide printing facilities. 

2- The dimension should not exceed the provided space; the provided space is 1 m x 1 m

For online poster

1- For online poster use the PowerPoint Slides Template to prepare your short communication

2- The short communication is for 3 mins followed by 2 mins questions and answers, therefore, stick to the number of slides as per the provided PowerPoint Slides Template

3- You are advised to use PowerPoint Recorder to recorder your oral communication and use your given abstract number [examples ICESET-23-00-00] to name your PowerPoint File before emailing it to the conference. 

4- Kindly, upload your PowerPoint record to Google Drive and email the link to iceset-23@squ.edu.om no later than January 22, 2023

When your contribution is ready (i.e. abstract or extended abstract), kindly use the below form for submission. If you are submitting multiple abstracts (i.e. more than one abstract), use the same submission form for each abstract/extended abstract.
