Affordable Taxi & Ride-Hailing Services in Oman

  • Otaxi and Tasleem Taxi are convenient app-based ride-hailing services with digitally metered fares. Simply download the app to book a ride anywhere in Muscat or across Oman.
  • Both services offer affordable rates and are ideal for tourists. Male and female drivers are available.
  • If you're traveling with others, you can share the fare, making your ride even more cost-effective.
  • From Muscat International Airport, the only available transport is the official Airport Taxi, which is also digitally metered but more expensive than Otaxi or Tasleem. For groups, sharing the fare can significantly lower the cost. Please note that you cannot order Otaxi or Tasleem Taxi to get a ride from the airport. However, you can use them to get a ride to the airport.
  • Hotel taxis tend to be more expensive. It's a good idea to ask the hotel reception about the expected fare in advance.
  • Carry cash when using taxis, as not all drivers accept Visa or MasterCard.
  • Tipping is not customary in Oman, but you're welcome to offer a tip if you feel the service was excellent.

Car Rental:

  • This is a very popular option among tourists. You can ask the hotel reception to help you with renting a car.
